This technical report aims to provide guidance to partner countries of the Norwegian Knowledge Programmes on understanding the principles of the Remote Sensing techniques and how it can be used to fill data gaps in marine and coastal environments. It provides an overview of the technology including available sensors and processing techniques as well specific examples for OfD countries and more specifically for Mozambique. In addition, it summarises relevant global, open source, marine and coastal datasets as well data portal to help identify potential knowledge and data gaps.
