This article discusses UNEP-WCMC's work with the CBD Secretariat and other partners to examine and compare the various standards for commonalities and gaps. The gaps and differences discovered in several areas reflect the need for further study and work, hopefully resulting in a convergence such that the standards create a truly 'level playing field.'
