The potential social and environmental benefits of implementing REDD+actions in a certain location are influenced by a range of factors, including the biophysical, geographic, socio-economic and cultural characteristics of the area. Maps can support decisions on where and how to put REDD+ into practice by conveying spatial information in an easily accessible way. This brochure presents a set of maps that have been developed for decision-makers in the UN-REDD Programme pilot province Central Sulawesi, Indonesia, and gives some guidance for their interpretation.
