​This technical report provides an overview of Phase 1 of the Advancing Environmental Risk Management project. The knowledge base compiled as part of this project is a comprehensive source of information to understand the benefits that natural capital provides to the economy, the risks that materialise when these are disrupted by environmental change, and how these risks can be assessed in specific contexts.

The report also introduces ENCORE (Exploring Natural Capital Opportunities, Risk and Exposure), a web-based tool that enables users to visualise the exposure of economic sectors to natural capital risks according to their geographical location.
