The NBSAP Forum is a global partnership aiming to support the revision and implementation of National Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plans (NBSAPs). The Secretariat of Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD), the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), and UN Environment Programme (UNEP) host it in partnership. The NBSAP Forum is executed on the behalf of UN Environment by the UN Environment Programme World Conservation Monitoring Centre (UNEP-WCMC), UN Environment's specialist biodiversity centre.

The purpose of our web portal is to support countries in finding the information they need to develop and implement effective NBSAPs. This online community of practice also connects a wide range of stakeholders who need access to timely information regarding NBSAP best practices, guidance and resources, or who wish to share their information, knowledge, support and resources.

The NBSAP Forum includes several support functions:

• An extensive resource library, focused on Aichi Biodiversity Targets, that includes scientific articles, resource guides, expert presentations, videos and reports;
• A best practice facility where our members can share and learn about effective, field-tested techniques and solutions to NBSAP development and implementation challenges.
• A web-based, e-learning platform that provide free, web-based learning opportunities to build your professional capacity.
• An online forum where members can provide advice and share experiences with fellow practitioners and technical experts. Posts on the forum address the latest trending topics, news on the latest learning opportunities, vacancies and upcoming meetings or events. Each post is organized by country, key NBSAP themes or region and is sent as a push notification via email to every member following that specific theme/s.
• A technical help desk facility to support NBSAP practitioners that is staffed in multiple languages by SCBD, UNDP and UN Environment-WCMC. Members can also directly access technical support staff at UNDP, UN Environment – WCMC and SCBD through email and by Skype;
• A peer review facility that allows you to access technical support and guidance on NBSAPs and National Reports.

Members speak 122 unique languages and access the website from 190 countries. NBSAP stakeholders can engage with each other, and leading experts from around the globe, 24-hours a day in multiple languages. Members are also engaged through regular electronic newsletters, webinars, online learning courses and in-person trainings.
