This document provides information on the process of co-development of the indicator on national implementation of the Gender Plan of Action, which is now available for Parties to use for monitoring and reporting on progress towards Target 23 of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework. 

This indicator links relevant decisions adopted by the Conference of the Parties at their fifteenth meeting (CBD COP 15),1 including the adopted Target 23 of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (Decision 15/4), the monitoring framework for the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (Decision 15/5) and the Gender Plan of Action (Decision 15/11).
