UNEP-WCMC. (2016). Webinar: Scenario planning in theory and practice. Cambridge, UK: UNEP-WCMC. URL: http://wcmc.io/scenariowebinar

Scenario development and scenario planning has become increasingly popular over the last decades, within the climate change community but increasingly also in other disciplines. As a result, the number of scenario studies, and approaches and methods used to develop them has expanded. This webinar consists of two main parts to shed light on the different uses of “scenarios”. The first part, presented by Dr Kasper Kok focuses on the background, definitions, approaches, and state-of-the-art methods. The second part, presented by Dr Joost Vervoort focuses on one concrete example; the scenario development process and results within the CGIAR programme on Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security (CCAFS). Dr Vervoort presents the methods and (selected) results of scenario development activities in seven multi-country regions across the globe.
